Francisco has been a driving force behind Galapagos' technological advancements since 2001, collaborating extensively with prominent organizations and institutions in the region. Joining the Charles Darwin Foundation in 2017, he played a pivotal role in strengthening the technology department as a developer, earning him the position of head of the department in 2020. With a clear vision, Francisco aims to cultivate a modern culture of knowledge management and embrace Open Data and Open Science practices within CDF and across Galapagos. His dedication to open access has led to the significant development of CDF's "dataZone," now serving as our primary information portal and garnering over 25% of our website's traffic.
