Javier joined the Charles Darwin Foundation in the year 2015. He always wanted to work on something related to Galápagos and learn more about the conservation field.

Before working at the Foundation, he was with Occidental Petroleum Corporation in the Ecuadorian Oriente for a period of four years. He also worked for eleven years at Diario Hoy in the Administration department.

He has traveled to Galápagos on several occasions and has always been amazed by its flora and fauna.

Currently, he is very pleased to be able to contribute to the conservation of the Islands from Quito through the CDF.
