Julio Delgado

Operations Coordinator

Julio Delgado works at the Charles Darwin Foundation since 1999, when he joined as a volunteer. In 2021, he was appointed Operations Coordinator. In his role, Julio oversees CDF’s logistics, purchasing, warehousing, accommodation and maintenance departments.

During his more than 20-year tenure at CDF, Julio held various positions in our marine biology team BIOMAR, supporting scientific teams with logistics and on punctual projects including in fisheries. In 2020, he helped train BIOMAR biologists in monitoring of macroinvertebrates and was responsible for navigation and dives.

Julio is a permanent resident of Galapagos and is originally from San Cristobal Island. He is a certified SSI Divemaster.
