Passionate about conservation in the Galápagos Islands, Mario joined the Charles Darwin Foundation (CDF) in October 2024 as a field assistant. His work focuses on the eradication and control of invasive plants, combining his expertise in identifying native and endemic species of the Galápagos. He has prior experience in similar roles with conservation institutions and NGOs, further strengthening his commitment to protecting the archipelago's unique environment.
