Pedro Gómez
Asistente de Investigación
Pedro Gómez Gil is from Isabela and has extensive experience in invasive species control projects in Galapagos. Since 2003, he has collaborated with the Galapagos National Park Directorate and the Charles Darwin Foundation in various projects to control invasive plant species and feral goats. All these activities added to his way of life, have made him know Isabela island very well and be aware of the effects that invasive species have. Since 2021, he has been working as the greenhouse and field assistant for the restoration project of the endemic and endangered Scalesia cordata forest on Isabela. He is currently in charge of searching for Scalesia cordata populations, its cultivation and monitoring, as well as the invasive plant control actions.
