Alfredo Carrasco

Alfredo is an international consultant on environmental and social topics. He has experience working in Antarctica, Bolivia, Ecuador, Honduras, Belize and Peru. Studied Business Administration at the Central American Institute of Business Administration in Costa Rica and Geological Engineering at the National Polytechnic School in Quito. Alfredo was the Secretary General of CDF; Sub-secretary of Natural Capital; President of the Forest Stewardship Council – Ecuador; Vice President of the Committee on Reforestation and Forest Management; and a member of the Panel of Experts of the International Tropical Timber Organization. Member of the World Commission of Protected Areas of the IUCN. Promoted the incorporation of the Galapagos Marine Reserve as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He supports indigenous organizations with the development of institutional development processes and the management of natural resources.
